At GTA Endoscopy Services Inc., providing patients with quality gastrointestinal care is our foundation. Continuous quality improvement processes have been established according to recognized standards to ensure that the endoscopic procedures performed at the facility are safe, effective, and follow standard practices. Our Quality Advisor and multidisciplinary Quality Advisory Committee maintain the delivery of the highest standard of gastrointestinal care.
Statistical analysis of published quality indicators are reviewed by the Medical Director on a quarterly basis. All patients seen for colonoscopy have the following indicators recorded for statistical analysis and quality assurance:
- Indication for procedure
- Wait time for procedure
- Quality of preparation
- Cecal Intubation
- Complication including perforation
- Polypectomy/Biopsy
